EFT

EFT = Emotional Freedom Technique = EFT Tapping

History
EFT, or Emotional Freedom Technique, was developed in the early 1990s by American psychologist Gary Craig. Inspired by traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture techniques and modern psychology, Craig created a simple method that combines the stimulation of specific energy points on the body (similar to acupuncture points) with a focus on emotional or physical problems.

How EFT works?
The fundamental principle of EFT is to release energy blocks by applying light pressure with the fingers to specific points along the energy meridians. During this stimulation, the person focuses on negative thoughts, painful emotions or difficult memories, bringing them from the subconscious to the conscious mind. This process promotes understanding, reprocessing and deep release of emotions, allowing for emotional and energetic rebalancing. The goal of EFT is to promote relief and relaxation.

The body’s energy system

In addition to the physical system, our body also has an energy system: a complex network of channels, called meridians, connected to vital organs. Vital energy flows naturally along these meridians, which is essential for the well-being of the entire organism. When we experience traumatic events or situations of severe emotional stress, this energy can become blocked, causing imbalances that manifest themselves in the form of psychological, emotional or physical discomfort.
